Since the Exodus, freedom has always spoken with a Hebrew accent. Heinrich Heine |
Very little is known about Abraham "Avrom" Hordas (Chardash). We know that he worked as a milkman ("Avrom der milhiker" - Avrom-milkman in Yiddish). He lived in a small village near Bobruisk where he used to bring goods for sale. His exact life dates are unknown. It is known however that his first child, daughter Nehama, was born in 1866. The latest document mentioning Abraham is the Bobruisk Duma List from 1907. Based on that it is sensible to presume that he was born at about 1845 and lived for about 70 years.
