Zamir Cohen - Biography

Rabbi Zamir Cohen , (born 1965 in Jerusalem) is the chairman of Hidabroot organization and the producer of the first Jewish television channel in Israel.

Rabbi Cohen was born and raised in the Bet Yirael neighborhood in Jerusalem. He learned and acquired his rabbinical certificate in the Porat Yosef Yeshiva there and was appointed the head of Yashiva after a short while. After the appointment, Cohen set up the "Hidabroot" organization, to bring and spread the Torah's knowledge in Israel and the world. In the beginning of 2008, the organization produced the first religious orthodox television channel which offers in part, Rabbi Zamir Cohen's lectures and shows. Rabbi Zamir Cohen is making his first visit to Latin American, Sao Paulo between 1 and 5 September the Argentina from 6 to 11 September 2011.

The organization also produces and manages a website which offers shows, lectures, presentations, and articles about Judaism. Today, Rabbi Zamir Cohen is the chairman of Hidabroot organization and the head of "Bitar Elit" Yeshiva.
