Hordas family connection to Bobruisk

The family life was intimately connected with Bobruisk for almost 200 years. It is there where Avrom Hordas, the father of Yechiel, brought diary products for sale. And it is there where the family of Yechiel lived. This is the place where William Hordes, son of Yechiel, came for his visit from the US to realize that here "children do not know the the difference between a Jew and a Gentile" because the Jewish history was erased. This is also the place where large part of the family was murdered by Nazis. And it is the place the memory of which Jewish life William worked to preserve. Hopefully one day this endevaour will be completed fully and and the information on the 200 years-long life of Jews in the town will again belong to Jews.
