    John fondly remembered coxing the Kent crew team the year they went to Henley to compete. He took the Physics prize in his senior year before going on to attend Princeton University where he ran the radio station. He served in the Naval Reserve and worked as an Engineer for ITT Corporation. John (who went by Pete) married Eleanora Goldstein at Saint Thomas' Cathedral in New York City on May 12, 1962.
