Врач-гинеколог, исследователь, после войны работал в Архангельске. В 1947 был исключен из партии за публикации в иностранной прессе. В 1949 где-то на переезде Вологда — Архангельск покончил с собой, надев на шею петлю. Похоронен на еврейском кладбище Санкт-Петербурга.
