раввин и ученый, сын Г. Учился в Цфате, затем в разл. иешивах в гор. Европы. С 1888 – в Иерусалиме, стал преемником отца в управлении иешивами. Сотрудничал на правах ответств. ред. в еженед. «Га-цви». Проводил иссл. разл. вариантов текста Талмуда на основе старых рукоп. и публиковал ст. на талмудич. темы. Он также издавал тр. по иссл. рукописей, включая позднейшие дополнения Ниссима Геронди к трактату Мегилла (1884). С 1896 – в Лондоне. Издавал религ. сионистск. еженед. «Тхий-ат Исраэль» (с 1896).
