После развода, будучи зрелым человеком, в 1970 годы, пошла учиться в университет Сан Диего, где закончила первую и вторую степени по науке. В 2009 начала жить в Лос Анжелесе, где работала музыкальным директором филармонии. Незадолго до смерти была на бар-мицве внука.
