Раввин, глава пражской ешивы, известен также, как "Нода беИехуда" по названию своего труда. Учился у Ицхака Айзека Сегеля из Владимира, затем перебрался в Броды, где обосновался, женившись в 18 лет. С 1744 года раввин Ямполя, с 1754 - Праги. В 1775 году выпустил свою знаменитую книгу "Нода беИехуда".
