Выдающийся каббалист, раввин и комментатор. В 1617 г. он был призван в Краков на пост раввина и ректора раввинской школы. Он — автор каббал. комментария к молитве Моисея во Втор., 3, 24, под названием "Меgalleh Amukot" (Краков, 1637; Фюрт, 1691), и новелл к кодексу Альфаси, напечатанных вместе с текстом (Амстердам, 1720); сборника респонсов; замечаний на сочинение р. Иосифа Kapo и "Bet Josef"; "Torah Natan" — к Пятикнижию и др.
