Был учеником Бааль Шем Това, раввин. В 1739-1740 году совершил алию в Израиль со своим сыном Самсоном Хаимом, но в том же году они вернулись в Межибож. В 1764 году 300 хасидских семей, возглавляемые раввином Нахманом, раввином Менахемом Мендлом из Перемышля и раввином Менахемом Мендлом из Шепитовки совершили алию. Нахман умирает, прожив в Израиле меньше года.
