Врач и обществ. деятель. Окончил мед. ф-т Казанского ун-та, работал врачом в м. Лиозно Могилевской губ., затем изучал медицину в Германии. С 1902 жил в Петербурге, работал в Ин-те усовершенствования врачей, сотрудничал в мед. ж. В 1914–17 врач в действующей армии. Инициатор создания Туберкулезного ин-та, зав. его уч. частью. В 1918 создал Евр. об-во поощрения художников, в 1919 воссоздал Об-во евр. нар. музыки, был его казначеем.
