Перебрался в Вильно, а в 1915 году, спасаясь от немецкой оккупации, — в Петроград. Был инженером-механиком, начальником проектного отдела. Арестован в 1937 году (по другим данным, весной 1938 года(3)) на тракторном заводе в Челябинске и скончался, не дожив до суда.
