Близнецы Борис и Наум бежавшие после ареста в Бутырках, вернулись в конце 1918 года в Польшу, в Лодзь. Там они купили на внезапно появившиеся деньги текстильную фабрику и после окончания войны с Советской Россией экспортировали туда свою продукцию. Москва оплачивала этот импорт мехами, которые напрямую экспортировались в Нью-Йорк, к Моти.
