Был писарем в управе Мариуполя (грамотно писал на русском) У него было 15 детей, из которых 3 пары близнецов. Со всеми детьми кроме двоих или троих (Маркуса - самого старшего, Бориса и может быть еще одного) он уехал в 1913 году после погромов в Америку, на этом связь пропала.
