Автор книг по медицине. Удочерил Бэллу Михайловну Раппопорт. Жил на Беговой в Москве. В 1937 году Арию Петровичу предложили лабораторию в Ленинграде (он был биохимик), и вся эта семья уехала. Воспоминания Софьи Анваер: "Арий Петрович стал профессором, получил лабораторию и квартиру Москве, любил свою сестру и брата, да и к нашей родне относился хорошо. Таким и остался до самой смерти".
