Birth of Faina (Feigale) Hordas

Faina Hordas was the last (10th) child to be born in the Yechiel family. She was born not long before the turmoil of the civil war that started after the Russian revolution. These were hard times especially for the Jews (there were pogroms in the area where Jews were killed in the most sadistic way) . Apparently the financial status of the family deteriorated strongly after the revolution. After the early death of the father (at 1925) Faina was in the Bobruisk "undom" (house of the youth) where in 1926 she met her future husband Ilya (Ele) Fukson. The family lived in Leningrad which they left during the World War II to return after the war was over. She died in 1986 in Leningrad.
