David Hordas dies in the Stalingrad battle
David Hordas was born in 1919 in Bobruisk and he was the only son of Girshl and Hana Mira. Before the World War II he was a student at a physical-mathematical faculty in the Minsk university. When the war started he moved with the family to the Saratov region from where he was recruited to the army. He served as a "radist" (responsible for communications). David died on 13 September 1942 in the Stalingrad battle. This event besides leaving Girshl and Hana Mira without their only child had tragic consequences for Girshl. He mentioned in public that Stalin commandment was terrible and led to meaningless death of dozens of thousands in the Stalingrad (which is absolutely true). This was reported and he was sent to GULAG (Soviet system of camps) where he died in 1946 in the city Saratov.
