Herb Yechiel Hordes fights in the War for the Independence of Israel

In 1947 Herb Yechiel Hordes goes from the US to Israel to study at the Technion. In 1948 he joins Mahal (Mitnadvei Hutz LaAretz - Volunteers from outside Israel) and fights the Independence War.
