Пианистка. Vera was the youngest daughter of Isser-Leib Blufstein and his wife Sophia Mandelshtam. She went to Leipzig to study piano at the Conservatory performed there. She taught music at a conservatory in Russia and performed as part of the Moscow Trio with Uriel Goldstein before fleeing from Russia to Harbin with him. They lived in Harbin for at least ten years where they had their daughter, Eleanora. The family fled from Harbin when Japan began attacks on the region. They relocated to Tel Aviv where Vera's father had a home with apartments reserved for family members who wanted to emigrate to Israel. He was a Zionist who built orphanages for Jewish children who had survived the first World War and wanted to come to Palestine. Vera was described by family friends as having been very cultured and ladylike. She was multi-lingual and fond of entertaining. She was reputed to have been greatly loved by her piano students. Unfortunately, shortly after her daughter recovered from Typhoid fever, Vera contracted Malaria from a mosquito bite. She was misdiagnosed as having typhoid and died ten days later. Her daughter recalled that the main street in Tel Aviv was closed for Vera's funeral procession.
